Which file format?
- STEP / STP: the ideal format, which keeps the exact geometry and stays editable.
- STL: the common 3D printing format, enough to print.
- 3MF: an enriched STL (units, colours), increasingly widespread.
- PDF: for a dimensioned drawing, as a complement to the 3D file.
The form also accepts ZIP files and images (PNG, JPG), up to 8 MB. Beyond that, write to me at contact@qtechgolf.fr.
Information that speeds up the quote
- How the part will be used and its environment: loads, temperature, moisture.
- The number of parts and the desired lead time.
- Critical dimensions and tolerances.
- The expected finish.
- Confidentiality: an NDA is possible on request.
Common mistakes
- An STL that is too coarse, with visible facets on curves.
- Walls too thin for the process.
- A file with no unit stated.
- No information on how the part is used.
What happens next?
I analyse feasibility, propose the material and the process, then a quote. To get started, use the quote form.
